Objective
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic individual to serve as a right-hand partner to the CEO of a clinical-stage oncology company. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of top-tier management consulting experience, strong financial and operational modeling capabilities, and comfort working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy – able to synthesize complex information, develop clear executive visuals, design strategic processes, and support cross-functional business planning efforts.
This is a 4-month consulting engagement, with the potential for longer-term conversion based on fit and business need.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership on key strategic initiatives, particularly those related to clinical development, partnerships, and operational scale-up.
- Develop and maintain integrated strategic and financial models to support decision-making across R&D, clinical, regulatory, and commercial domains.
- Create clear and compelling executive-level visuals and presentations to drive alignment across the leadership team, board, and external partners.
- Support process development and mapping across critical workflows to drive executional clarity and operating rhythm.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across functions (e.g., Finance, Corporate Development, Program Management) to gather inputs, pressure-test assumptions, and build consensus.
- Conduct rapid analyses to support ongoing strategic questions, including scenario planning, prioritization frameworks, and resource modeling.
- Be on-site as needed (potentially up to 80% travel), working closely with the CEO and executive team.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, M.S., PhD) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman) or healthcare-focused advisory roles.
- Prior experience supporting C-level executives with high-visibility deliverables and tight timelines.
- Familiarity with biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preference given for experience in oncology, medical imaging, or rare diseases. Experience working with or advising early- to mid-stage biotech companies, especially those preparing for growth or inflection points preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting M&A, corporate strategy, or operating model design in a biotech or MedTech environment.
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to independently develop integrated models and translate insights into compelling narratives.
- Comfort working in a highly dynamic, early-stage company environment with limited structure.

- Executive communication – Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare clear, compelling slides and narratives for board-level audiences.
- Project management – Skilled at managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, including setting priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaboration & stakeholder management – Effective at building relationships and facilitating cross-functional alignment, especially under time pressure.
- Operate independently – Capable of managing ambiguity and delivering with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Translate strategy into execution – Comfortable bridging the gap between vision and operational detail, including designing and implementing processes.
- Travel and adapt – Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%, including frequent on-site time with the CEO and executive team.
- Work under pressure – Ability to deliver high-quality outputs with short timelines and shifting priorities.
- Assess and adapt – Strong situational awareness and ability to tailor approaches to the company’s stage, leadership style, and evolving needs.
